24 Dec 2010 - Oliver (Hatch) and Martha SPARLIN’s grandson, Raymond Earl Sparlin would have celebrated his 91st birthday on this Christmas Eve with an angel food cake, made by his baby sister, Edna Mae SPARLIN MASON. Raymond Earl Sparlin was born in the old SPARLIN home, Southwest of Seneca, Missouri to Centennial (Ten) and Bessie Dianthy SIMMONS SPARLIN. He married Arrah (Sally) Mae JOHNSON in Neosho, Missouri on 15 Aug 1947 and to this union they had three children, and six grandchildren, all of which are on Facebook. In 1952 Raymond, Arrah Mae and their first born son moved to Sacramento, California, where they bought their first and only home, where Arrah Mae still lives. Raymond Earl Sparlin is my “PoP” and he is greatly missed.
We are at breakfast with Howard and Christina and the question came up about what was the name of my grandmother? So I did a quick Google search and the answer is on this page so I was able to verify my grandmother's name. Thanks for writing this 13 years ago!
