24 Dec 2011 – Oliver (Hatch) and Martha SPARLIN’s grandson, Raymond Earl Sparlin would have celebrated his 92nd birthday on this Christmas Eve with an angel food cake, made by his baby sister, Edna Mae SPARLIN MASON. Raymond Earl Sparlin was born in the old SPARLIN home, Southwest of Seneca, Missouri to Centennial (Ten) and Bessie Dianthy SIMMONS SPARLIN. He married Arrah (Sally) Mae JOHNSON in Neosho, Missouri on 15 Aug 1947 and to this union they had three children, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. In 1952 Raymond, Arrah Mae and their first born son moved to Sacramento, California, where they bought their first and only home, where Arrah Mae still lives. Raymond Earl Sparlin is my “PoP” and he is greatly missed.
