RIP ''Aunt Weym''


GILBERT, Weymouth E.

Born June 23, 1925 in Neosho, Missouri, ascended to heaven on September 15, 2010. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Harvey C. Gilbert, a Navy veteran from Lebanon, Kansas. Harvey preceded her in their ascension to heaven on September 22, 2005. The loving mother of Diane (Gilbert) Roberts and Tim Roberts and cherished ''Nini'' to Heather and Erik Roberts. She was from a large family of two brothers and five sisters. She was the loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews who always knew that ''Aunt Weym'' could be counted on for a warm smile and a big hug. She was the adopted mom and ''Nini'' to numerous kids and adults whom she loved as her own. She and Harvey came to California in the 1950s and settled in Wilton in 1976. She was a sales consultant for 25 years and a housewife who enriched the lives of all she met. She is sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 10:30am, at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove CA. A celebration of life, following the service, will be held at the Elk Grove Church of Christ, 8320 Sheldon Rd., Elk Grove. Contributions in Nini's memory may be made to The Elk Grove Church of Christ.
